Tarouti Competition on Tajweed Recitation of Quran Held in Egypt
TEHRAN (IQNA) – The final stage of the 8th edition of a competition on Tajweed recitation of the Quran named after prominent Egyptian Qari Abdul Fattah al-Tarouti was held in the Arab country earlier this week.
The Islamic Society of Tarout village, the birthplace of Tarouti, hosted the final round with the participation of 13 competitors.
Hamdi Ahmed Muhammad Esmail from Dakahlia governorate won the top prize while Muhammad Hussein Muhammad al-Damardash and Muhammad Mahmoud Atiya al-Khouli came second and third, respectively.
The contest is annually organized by Tarouti in different provinces of Egypt and finalists compete in Tarout village for the top prize.
