TEHRAN (IQNA) – The Religious Affairs Section of the Astan (custodianship) of the holy shrines in Iraq’s Samarra has organized a Quranic plan titled “Iqra’” for pilgrims.

According to the website of the Astan, Heidar al-Mayahi, the supervisor of the plan, said that a large number of the pilgrims from different countries have participated in the daily Quranic plan.

The participants from different age groups can check their recitation of Surah Al-Fatiha and prayers in the educational program.

Children are gifted books and magazines on Hijab, prayers and religious issues, he added.

Two books on jurisprudential issues and principles of prayers are also gifted to adults participating in the plan, al-Mayahi went on to say.

Samarra is home to Marqad al-Imamayn, the holy shrines of Imam Hadi (AS) and Imam Hassan Askari (AS), the 10th and 11th Shia Imams.
