TEHRAN (IQNA) – The Palestinian resistance movement Hamas called on Palestinians to hold massive rallies on Friday in support of al-Aqsa Mosque.
Hamas Calls for Friday of Rage against Zionists

According to al-Alam news network, the movement in a statement said there should be a Friday of Rage against the Zionist regime and its recent moves.

It said the Palestinian people should underline the Islamic identity of the holy city of Quds (Jerusalem) and reject the occupiers’ moves to change the status of al-Aqsa.

Palestinians should rush to support al-Aqsa and act to thwart the Tel Aviv regime’s schemes against it, Hamas went on to say.

The call comes after the Zionist regime forces reopened the al-Aqsa Mosque compound Quds two days after they closed it following a deadly shooting in the area, but Muslims refused to enter in protest to newly imposed security measures, including metal detectors and cameras.

The highly-sensitive compound, which includes al-Aqsa mosque and the Dome of the Rock, was reopened on midday Sunday after the Israeli regime closed it on Friday, shortly after a bloody gunfight in the courtyard of the sacred site left two Israeli policemen and three Palestinians dead.
