Over 900 Register for Oman’s Nat’l Quran Contest
TEHRAN (IQNA) – More than 930 male and female Quran memorizers have so far registered to participate at the 30th edition of the “Sultan Qaboos” national Quran memorization competition in Oman.
According to Al-Wafd website, this edition of the Quranic event will be held in seven categories.
Memorization of the entire Quran, and memorization of 24, 18, and 12 Juzes (parts) with observation of Tajweed principles are four categories of the competition.
The three other categories will be memorization of 6 Juzes with Tajweed (for those born in 2004 and later), memorization of 4 Juzes with Tajweed (for those born in 2008 and later) and memorization of 2 Juzes and Tajweed (for those born in 2011 and later).
August 6 is the deadline for the registration for the Quran contest.
The previous edition of the Quranic event was held with 2140 participants.
