Resistance Best Option to Liberate Palestine: Hamas Official
Addressing the 35th International Islamic Unity Conference here in Tehran on Tuesday, Ismail Ridwan said the Zionist regime understands only the language of force.
“We believe that the option of resistance is the best option that can be used to liberate all of Palestine in the shortest time,” he said.
Ridwan warned that Jerusalem al-Quds and Al-Aqsa Mosque are under threat today and the Zionist occupiers, exploiting the US support and normalization deals with certain regional regimes, are trying to advance their plans to Judaize the holy city.
The ultimate goal of the occupiers is to destroy Al-Aqsa Mosque and build the so-called temple on its ruins, he said.
The Hamas official underlined that preventing this plot from materializing requires the unity of the Arab and Muslim world and support for the Palestinian people’s resistance.
He underscored the significance of Quds in the Muslim world, saying the hoy city is the first Qibla (direction of prayer) of Muslims the place of the Holy prophet’s (PBUH) Mi’raj (ascension to heaven).
The issue of Quds is one that is related to the entire Muslim Ummah, he went on to say.
Elsewhere in his remarks, Ridwan said unity is a source of power in the Muslim Ummah and it is through unity that the Islamic world can surmount problems, dangers and challenges it is facing.
