ICRO Ready to Cooperate with Turkey in Translation, Publication of Religious Books

TEHRAN (IQNA) – The head of the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization (ICRO) voiced the organization’s readiness for cooperation with Turkey in translation and publication of religious works.

Hoajt-ol-Islam Mohammad Mehdi Imanipour, in a meeting in Tehran with the Turkish embassy’s religious attaché, highlighted the good cooperation between ICRO and Turkey’s Religious Affairs Directorate (Diyanet).

He called for developing and deepening such collaborations given their importance at the international level.

Imanipour noted that the two sides have signed a memorandum of understanding on joint cooperation in cultural, educational and religious fields and in promoting dialogue between the two countries’ elites.

The Turkish official, for his part, hailed the bilateral cooperation and called for continuation and expansion of the cultural and religious relations between ICRO and Diyanet.

He also referred to the activities of Takfiri elements that have tarnished Islam’s image in the world and urged cooperation between Iran and Turkey in combating Islamophobia.
