Hojat-ol-Islam Mohammad Reza Shafiei, secretary of the festival, said it will be held across the country in the oral, written and art sections.

He said that given the improvement in the coronavirus situation in the country, the oral section’s participants will attend the contests in person.

According to Shafiei, the written section will feature exams in the categories of Quran interpretation, Nahj-ol-Balaqa and Sahifeh Sajjadiyeh.

He said 15,000 seminarians have registered to take part in different categories of the event.

The provinces of Qom, Razavi Khorasan, Isfahan and Golestan have the largest number of participants, the cleric noted.

He went on to say that the provincial stage will conclude on December 17 and winners will make it to the national round.
