Rose Harvest in SW Iran

MEYMAND (IQNA) – Late May is the typical harvest season of damask rose flowers across Iran. Farmers start the harvest early in the morning and continue the process before the sun becomes too hot.

The flowers are then processed in distillation ceremonies, known as “Golab-giri”, to produce rosewater or “Golab”. The following photos show the harvest process in Meymand, Fars Province.
