New Quran Memorization Center Launched in Egypt

A new Quran memorization center has been launched in Egypt with the aim of training Quran memorizers.

 According to Al-Masry Al-Youm newspaper, the International Union of Al-Azhar University has established the center.

Mamdouh Gharabah, a member of the Supreme Council of the union’s directorate, inaugurated the center in a ceremony.
Organization of national Quran memorization competitions and honoring Quran memorizers of the country will be among the activities of the center, which is planned to open 8 branches in different parts of Egypt.
The branches will be launched in 6th of October City, Nasr District, Aldaqi, Al-Maadi, Port Said, Asyut, Alexandria and Qena.
The union also plans to open new branches of the center in other parts of Egypt as well as the member countries of the union.
The center's main objective is to train 1,000,000 Quran memorizers, both men and women.
Over 900 Quran experts have registered so far for supervising Quran memorization courses planned to be held by the center.
