Courses for Muslim Preachers Underway in India

A series of complementary courses for Indian preachers is being held by Iranian Cultural Center in New Delhi in different parts of the country.


According to IQNA’s branch in South Asia, the courses have been underway since August 30 in New Delhi, Lucknow and Hyderabad.

More than 130 Indian preachers have participanted in the courses organized in cooperation with the representative of the Supreme Leader in India and the International Center of Dissemination.

The opening ceremony of the courses was attended by a number of scholars from Qom Seminary School, deputy of Iranian Cultural Center in India, representative of Al-Mustafa International University and 25 local preachers.

Addressing the ceremony, Alemi, the Iranian cultural deputy elaborated on the objectives of the courses and noted that it is necessary for today’s preachers to be familiar with the Takfiri movements.

Introduction to Takfiri groups, Velayat-e Faqih and the doubts put forth about it, methods of dissemination and disseminaion ethics will be among the themes of the three-day courses.

Ali Bakhshi and Tabataba’i, are the Iranian scholars dispatched to the Indian regions to teach the courses.

Also speaking at the program, Hojat-ol-Islam Mahdawi, Al-Mustafa’s representative briefly noted that hoding such courses is a necessity for preachers in India since the seminary courses in this country do not meet the needs of the seminarians regarding the current evolutions in the world.
