Iran to Have Two Representatives in Indonesia Quran Contest

The Islamic Republic of Iran will have two representatives in the International Holy Quran competition of Indonesia.

Mostafa Esfehanian will represent the country in the memorization category, Vali Yarahmadi, head of the Quranic affairs center of Iran's Awqaf and Charity Affairs Organization said.
Mehdi Saed had previously been selected to compete for Iran in the recitation category.
Yarhamadi noted that it is the first time the Islamic Republic is to take part in Indonesia's Quranic event, Tasnim news agency reported.
Indonesia's International Holy Quran Competition is slated to be held in the capital Jakarta on September 22-29.
Quran reciters and memorizers from various countries will compete in the Quranic event in the categories of memorization, recitation and Tajweed .
