Tehran Int’l Quran Expo Attracts over One Million Visitors
The number of those wishing to visit the expo on holidays was so large that some visitors could not get into the Mosalla (the prayer hall that hosts the event), Mohammad Mehdi Esmaeili said at a ceremony organized at the exhibition on Thursday to honor servants of the Holy Quran.
The ceremony was also attended and addressed by Iranian President Seyed Ebrahim Raeisi.
Esmaili hailed the good cooperation of the country’s Quranic community in holding the exhibition and the contribution of government bodies and organizations like the Education Ministry, Awqaf and Charity Affairs Organization, Ministry of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts, Tehran Municipality, Islamic Development Organization, IRIB, etc.
He added that one of the main features of this year’s exhibition was focusing on family and paying special attention to teenagers and children, for who special programs were held.
The culture minister expressed hope that such exhibitions will be held in other parts of the country and in other months of the year.
He went on to say that the administration of President Raeisi considers no limits to supporting and developing Quranic activities.
The 29th Tehran International Quran Exhibition that was inaugurated on April 16 at the Imam Khomeini (RA) Mosalla and will conclude its activities today, April 29.
The expo is annually organized by the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance in the holy month of Ramadan.
It is aimed at promoting Quranic concepts and developing Quranic activities.
The exhibition showcases the latest Quranic achievements in the country as well as a variety of products dedicated to the promotion of the Holy Book.
