TEHRAN (IQNA) – Divine prophets are responsible to convey the message of God to His servants.

A messenger of God

This is the main mission of the divine messengers. They should convey the divine commandments to people without any change. They should explain good and bad to people and show them the path to salvation and happiness. They should also inform people on deviated paths.

Some of the features of the prophets’ invitations to the divine path are as follows:

1- Giving hope and warning

In propagating the religion of God, divine messengers use both the method of Tabshir (encouraging and giving hope) and the method of Tanzir (warning). Tabshir is like one who walks in front of the convoy and leads it and Tanzir is like one who walks behind the convoy and prevents its members from falling behind.

A propagator should be careful and be aware that his task is Tanzir not Tanfir (causing hate). The Holy Prophet (PBUH) would tell the representatives that he sent to different places for propagation of Islam that they should give hope to people and avoid causing hate.

2- Not being afraid of people

Divine messengers are only afraid of God. The Quran described them like this: “Those who preach the message of God and are humble before Him should not be afraid of anyone besides God. God is Sufficient in keeping the account.” (Verse 39 of Surah Al-Ahzab)

3- Steadfastness

Prophets of God are steadfast in propagating the religion of God. The Quran tells the Holy Prophet (PBUH): “(Muhammad), be steadfast (in your faith) just as you have been commanded.” (Verse 112 of Surah Hud)

4- Reminding People

Divine prophets remind people of what is good for them: “Therefore remind, you are only a Reminder.” (Verse 21 of Surah Al-Ghashiyah)
