Registration for Quran and Etrat Competition Concludes
Hojat-ol-Islam Ali Parvaneh, director general of the Education Office of the section said that the registration concluded on October 18.
43612 ones registered for Quran memorization category, 15319 ones will compete in Quran translation and Quranic concepts, 1635 in contemplation in Quran, and 1365 others will compete in translation of Nahjul Balaqa, he added.
Parvaneh said that women make 81 percent of the participants and 19 percent are men. 73 percent of the Quran activists are aged above 15 and 27 percent are less than 15.
It is interesting that more than 2500 ones registered for the categories of memorization of 20 Juzes (parts) and the entire Quran, he noted.
The director added that Isfahan Province with 8602, Alborz Province with 4628 and Khorasan Razavi with 4139 participants have the most number of representatives in this edition of the competition.
The number of participants from Alborz, the South Khorasan (2418 ones) and Ilam (1926) has outstandingly increased compared to the previous edition of the national competition, he added.
