Final Stage of Iran Nat’l Quran Contest Slated for November 8

TEHRAN (IQNA) – The final round of Iran’s 43rd national Quran competition will be held online starting from November 8, an official said.

 

Speaking at a press conference in Tehran on Saturday, Mehdi Qarasheikhlu, head of the Quranic Affairs Center of Iran’s Awqaf and Charity Affaris Organization, said 230 men and 149 women will compete in the final stage.

He said the contenders will take part in the event via video-conference and the panel of judges in Tehran score their performance.

The official also noted that the prizes of this year’s contest have been raised compared to the previous years’.

The Islamic Republic of Iran’s national Quran competition is annually held with the participation of top Quran activists from across the country.

It is aimed at discovering Quranic talents and promoting Quranic activities in society.
