TEHRAN (IQNA) – An online Quranic session was held in India on the martyrdom anniversary of General Qassem Soleimani and Abu Mahdi Al-Muhandis and the 40th day after the martyrdom of Iranian scientist Mohsen Fakhrizadeh.

Noor-ul-Mustafa Quran Hadith Center affiliated to Al-Mustafa International University’s branch in India organized the online program.

It was held with the participation of Quran reciters from different countries.

Mas’oud Movahhedirad from Iran was the honorary guest of the program who recited verses from the Quran in the session.

Hojat-ol-Islam Abrar Hussein Irfani from Pakistan, Hojat-ol-Islam Seyyed Karrar Ali Ja’fari from Kashmir, Hojat-ol-Islam Seyyed Yunis Heidar  from Allahabad and teenage Qari I’jaz Hussein Sufi from Kashmir also recited verses in the program.

The session was addressed by Seyyed Fayyadh Hussein Razavi, research deputy of the university’s branch in India.

Lieutenant General Soleimani, the commander of the Quds Force of Iran's Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), and his Iraqi trenchmate Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, the deputy head of the Popular Mobilization Units, were assassinated along with their companions in a US terror drone strike authorized by Trump near Baghdad International Airport on January 3, 2020.

Both commanders were admired by Muslim nations for their role in eliminating the US-sponsored Daesh Takfiri terrorist group in the region, particularly in Iraq and Syria.
