Iranian Calligraphers’ Works on Display at ‘Asmaullah’ Virtual Exhibition in Mumbai

TEHRAN (IQNA) – The Iranian Culture House in Mumbai, India, has organized a virtual exhibition of calligraphy and calligraphy-painting works on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan.

According to the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization, the Iranian Academics’ Quranic Organization and the International Quran News Agency (IQNA) have cooperated in holding the cultural event, titled Asmaullah (names of God).

Calligraphy and calligraphy-painting works by Iranian university students and scholars are on display at the virtual expo.

It is part of a series of national and international exhibitions aimed at displaying the beauties of the Quran and names of God and enhancing art, media and propagation interaction among academics and elites at the national and international levels.

Supporting talented artists and showcasing their works at the national and international arenas are among the other objectives of the events.

Ahmad Ariamanesh, Ahmad Pilechi, Esrafil Shirchi, Allahyar Khoshbakhti, Amin Zadeh Taqi, Parisa Abbasi, Hossein Razavifard, Khalil Rasouli, Davoud Niknam, Zabihollah Loloeimehr and Rasoul Moradi are among the artists whose works have been displayed at the Kazakhstan virtual exhibition.

Mohsen Ashouri, the head of the culture house, said 35 works of art by Iranian artists are on show at the online exhibition, which can be seen here.

He highlighted the importance of calligraphy in promoting the message of the Quran and said the Holy Prophet (PBUH) and the Infallible Imams (AS) have also underscored this.

Ashouri also noted that verses of the Holy Quran are one of the main themes of Islamic calligraphy.
