According to the panel of judges, Algerian contender Bubakr Abdulhadi won the top title, WAM news agency reported.
The runners-up were from Senegal and Egypt and the fourth rank prize went to the representative of Egypt.
Contenders from the US, Mauritania, India, the UAE, Rwanda, Ethiopia, and Bangladesh came fifth to tenth.
The organizers also named Sheikh Ibraheem bin Al-Akhzar bin Ali Al-Qayyim as the winner of the competition’s Personality of the Year Award for his services in the field of Quran teaching.
The 25th edition of the Quranic event had begun in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates last week.
The participants competed in the category of memorization of the entire Quran.
The contest is annually organized in the Persian Gulf country in the holy month of Ramadan.
