AL-QUDS (IQNA) – Three Palestinians were killed by direct fire of Israeli forces on Tuesday morning in Nablus, occupied West Bank.

The regime’s military has confirmed that three Palestinians were killed near the illegal Israeli settlements on Mount Gerizim, in the vicinity of Nablus, after allegedly opening fire towards soldiers.

According to Palestinian news source Arab48, Israeli ambulances arrived at the scene and took the bodies away, while Palestinian ambulances were prevented from reaching the victims.

Eyewitnesses reported that the Israeli forces fired upon the vehicle carrying the three Palestinians for nearly ten minutes, while the regime forces claimed that there was an exchange of fire and additional weapons were found in the vehicle.

Palestinian eyewitnesses dispute this account, claiming that Israeli forces ambushed and assassinated the young men.

Israeli forces subsequently searched nearby Palestinian homes and shops and confiscated CCTV footage, though it remains unclear if the footage captured the events leading up to the shooting.

Rights groups have criticized the Israeli military's "shoot-to-kill" policy, which they say has resulted in the deaths of at least 200 Palestinians this year, including 34 children.
