It began on Thursday with the participation of 50 female Quran reciters and memorizers.
A number of officials in charge of Quranic activities for women addressed the opening ceremony of the final round.
The competition has been organized by the Quranic Sciences Center affiliated to the country’s Shia Awqaf Department.
According to Karrar al-Shamari, head of the media center of the Astan (custodianship) of Imam Hussein Holy shrine’s Dar-ol-Quran, the 50 women have made it to the final stage after showing the best performance in the preliminary round, held at the provincial level.
He said top winners of the competition will represent Iraq in international Quranic events in different countries.
