Thaqalayn TV Plans Int’l Contest on Tarteel Recitation
The competition will be held via Skype in the holy month of Ramadan, which will begin later this month.
Those willing to take part in the contest are required to submit a recorded audio file of their Tarteel recitation, along with their first name and surname, country, phone number and email address, to the TV station via the WhatsApp number 009647822322658.
Only men aged 18 to 40 are eligible to take part in the Quranic event.
Tarteel is the Arabic word for hymnody. The term is commonly translated in reference to the recitation of the Quran “in proper order” and “with no haste”. It is the measured recitation of the Quran in rhythmic tones according to the rules that explain how to recite the Quran.
Al-Thaqalayn is a satellite TV station broadcasting various programs with religious and cultural themes.

The Arabic-language TV, which was launched in Ramadan of 2008, aims to promote the Islamic culture and the teachings of the Holy Quran and Ahl-ul-Bayt (AS).
It also seeks to strengthen the institution of the Islamic family through special programs for women, children and young adults.
