IQNA – The Holy Shrine of Imam Reza (AS) in northeast Iran opened an exhibition focusing on Jannatul Al-Baqi (the Baqi Cemetery) on April 17, 2024.

The famous cemetery in the holy city of Medina is where Imam Hassan (AS), Imam Sajjad (AS), Imam Baqir (AS), and Imam Sadiq (AS) have been buried.

Mausoleums in the Baqi cemetery were completely demolished by Wahhabi extremists on the 8th of Shawwal in the year 1345 AH (April 21, 1925).

In the same year, the Saudi authorities also demolished the tombs of holy personalities at Jannat al-Mualla (Makkah) where the Holy Prophet Muhammad's (PBUH) mother, wife, grandfather, and other ancestors are buried.

The exhibition in Mashhad will close on May 9.
