Iran’s 45th Nat’l Quran Contest: Members of Panel of Judges Named
According to the center, they include Quran masters Masoud Sayyah Gorji, and Mohammad Javad Panahi in Tajweed, Gholam Reza Shahmiveh and Saleh Atharifard in Lahn (rhythm), Mohammad Hassan Saeedian and Hamid Reza Ahmadivafa in Sawt (melodious voice), Hossein Akhavan Moqaddam and Saeed Khajehahmadi in Waqf and Ibtida (pause and restart) and Amir Aghaei and Mostafa Esfehanian in memorization.
Mohammad Mehdi Bahrololum will chair the panel in the men’s section, it added.
In the women’s section, Rezvan Jalalifar, Maryam Mansourianfar, Vajiheh Sheikh Farshi, Khadijeh Dayyari, Sommayeh Heybatian, Haleh FIrouzi, Zahram Mirshafiei, Fesreshteh Masjedi, Fatemeh Hosseinifar and Najmeh Shabani Ghahroudi will be the members of the panel.
The draw ceremony for the preliminary stage of Iran’s 45th international Quran competition was held on Saturday.
The preliminary round will be organized virtually, with the contenders in different categories either recording their recitation and submitting the file or answering the questions of the panel of judges online.
The categories include Quran recitation, Tarteel, memorization of the entire Quran and memorization of 20 Juzes (parts) of the Quran.
The headquarters of the Supreme Quran Council here in Tehran will host the panel of judges in the preliminary round on November 8-21.
Winners will make it to the finals, slated to be organized in person in the southwestern province of Khuzestan in January.
The Islamic Republic of Iran’s National Quran Competition is annually held by the Awqaf and Charity Affairs Organization with the participation of top Quran activists from across the country.
It is aimed at discovering Quranic talents and promoting Quranic activities in society.
