Al-Azhar has inaugurated 538 Quran centers for children in the Arab country’s villages and remote areas, bringing the total number of such centers to 1045, Cairo24 reported.
Interested children in Quranic courses on recitation or memorization can take an entrance exam and then start learning skills at the centers.
Abdelmuneim Fuad, an official with Al-Azhar center, says there are plans underway to solve the problems of these centers and equip them with new technologies.
